FJELLJO AS was founded 2019 on the Lofoten Islands, Norway by Arne Max Olaf Barwinski and Guri Hundvebakke Bendz. The company owns and operates FURU Hostel which opened in the summer 2020.

Over the course of 18months, the company renovated an old elderly home from the 50's, kept its heritage alive and turned it into a new business. It is located on the island Vestvagøy, which is part of the Lofoten Islands. It includes a hostel that can accomodate 60 guests with private rooms, dorms and apartments, and an in-house restaurant FURU Café.

For the future, FJELLJO AS is looking for new project ideas that involves bringing old buildings back to life. The size of the building nor the region of the location is important but should be in the vicinity of outdoor activities. Please get in contact with us if you own or know about such property.
